Yuval Shachar

Yuval Shachar is the Executive Chairman and Managing Partner at Team8. Building on his vast experience as an investor and entrepreneur, he provides strategic business leadership and guidance to the fund and its portfolio companies. He also serves as a board member in a broad number of companies.

In his previous role, Yuval was the co-founder and General Partner of Marker-LLC, a New York-Israel based venture capital firm, as well as the investment partner of Eric Schmidt at Innovation Endeavors. He sourced and led numerous successful early-stage investments in technology companies.

Previously as an entrepreneur Yuval co-founded P-Cube, and served as its CEO up until its acquisition by Cisco, then serving as a GM of one of Cisco’s business units; he co-founded Pentacom (acquired by Cisco), Qwilt; and created one of the first Internet appliances, leading the creation of Infogear (also acquired by Cisco). Earlier in his career, Yuval served as VP R&D at VocalTec, developing the first voice and video over IP solutions (IPO NASDAQ) and as a software developer and manager at National Semiconductors and Motorola.

Yuval holds a BSc in Math and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, and a variety of patents that contributed to modern telecommunications standards.
